The Hatch at Jamestown Community College is a business incubator on the Cattaraugus County Campus, providing space and amenities for entrepreneurs to utilize. The Hatch fills a gap in the Olean area entrepreneurial ecosystem as a place and resource for business ideation and existing businesses.

The Hatch business incubator is a supportive environment that helps new and existing businesses and entrepreneurs grow and succeed. The Hatch provides resources, guidance, amenities, and physical space on campus. Think of The Hatch as a "nest" where businesses can hatch and grow safely, with access to:

  • Mentors who can give you advice
  • Networking opportunities to meet other entrepreneurs
  • Workshops and classes to learn new skills and address common business challenges

Through The Hatch, you have access to:

  • Commercial kitchen with oven, stove, electric griddle, cold storage space, dry storage space, kitchen utensils, pots, baking sheets (does not include knives, cooking sprays, ingredients)
  • Facility rentals on campus, including classrooms, conference rooms, and computer labs
  • Manufacturing machines in the Manufacturing Technology Institute
    • Metrology lab: Optical Comparator - CMM
    • CNC machining
    • Manual lathes and mills
    • Welding: MIG - TIG - STICK - resistance welding
    • CNC press brake
    • Rapid prototyping - 3D printer
