MSCHE accreditation at JCC

Jamestown Community College is an accredited institution and a member of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). Jamestown Community College’s accreditation status is accreditation reaffirmed. The Commission’s most recent action on the institution’s accreditation status on 2021 was to reaffirm accreditation. MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Its curricula are approved by the State University of New York and are registered by the New York State Department of Education.

JCC is approved by the New York State Division of Veterans' Affairs for the training of veterans and other eligible persons.

JCC is approved by New York state to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements. NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education.
