Outreach & leadership

During your time at JCC, you can participate in clubs, internships, and community outreach alongside our STEM and education faculty. You can also build your leadership skills through opportunities like the Honors program, honor society, and JCC Student Showcase.

Course spotlight: Science Connections (INT 2800)

In this course, students design and present science investigations for elementary students in physical science, biology, chemistry, and earth science/geology.

JCC has partnerships and transfer agreements with colleges and universities locally and across the country. You’ll work with your advisor to choose the best school for you based on your career and life goals.

Transfer Spotlight: St. Bonaventure University BONAS-Teach Program

St. Bonaventure offers the BONAS-Teach program, where scholars will:

  • Be able to apply for a Noyce scholarship that will cover their cost of attendance during their junior and senior years.
  • Be paired with a long-term teacher mentor.
  • Have opportunities for professional development, research, outreach, and leadership.

While at JCC, you can attend SBU seminars held at JCC and meet the St. Bonaventure STEM faculty.
