One-on-one planning
"I study a lot, but I still don’t get good grades."
"I’m not doing as well as I thought I would in college."
Sound familiar?
Study skills assistance is a one-on-one process that takes place between you and a Learning Center coordinator. It begins as a conversation about your coursework, your study habits, your commitments outside of the classroom, your perceived barriers, and who you are as a learner. Together, you and the coordinator will develop a plan for moving forward.
Areas for growth often include:
- Time management
- Memory strategies
- Note taking
- Exam preparation
- Reading strategies
- Motivation/procrastination
