A show that mixes original magic, psychology, sharp humor & inspirational messages that speak to the college audience. It begins with large-scale mind tricks that ALL students can participate in their seats, then you will see magic that uniquely ties to Nash’s life story, visual mind-reading, and lots of devilish surprises! More than just magic, Nash will also share positive messages he learned as an immigrant, entrepreneur, and a passionate volunteer in his community.
The Clothesline Project addresses the issue of violence by providing a vehicle for students to express their emotions by decorating a shirt. Take the “It’s On Us” pledge to stop sexual violence against anyone at itsonus.org
The Zuzu Acrobats provide a vision of inclusion for a brighter tomorrow. Their specialties include African drum, contortionism, dish spinning, chair balance, unicycles and bicycle tricks, human pyramids and so much more all to the sounds of Africa! They desire to share the beauty of their Tanzanian culture through art and entertainment. This traditional Tanzanian acrobatics have been seen on America's Got Talent, the Super bowl and many other events.
Join extreme pumpkin carver Eric Jones to create your own spooky pumpkin for Halloween. Students get a pumpkin to carve, instructions with Eric and can take home their pumpkin after the event.
A day when all New Yorkers wear purple and talk about why. Please wear purple and encourage others to do the same! We will take a JCC group photo at 12:50 p.m. Share photos online of yourself wearing purple, and tag @NYSOPDV and use the hashtags #PurpleThursday and #NYGoesPurple4DV.
A FREE event to remember people who’ve died from overdose, support people who struggle with substance use, and work against substance use stigma. Participate in Tie-Dye for Hope, Painting for prevention, Hope Flag creation and journaling while meeting numerous community organizations. A limited number of JCC T-Shirts will be provided for tie-dying.

Sophomore Student Days are a great way to orient yourself to campus and discover some of the services that are available to you. Make sure to bring your fall semester schedule so you can locate your classrooms.

Make sure to bring your fall semester schedule so you can locate your classrooms. We will meet in the Student Union, located in Hamilton Collegiate Center building, and start our tour from there.
At Orientation, you will: learn expectations faculty have for college students, find your classrooms and learn to use JCC technology, begin friendships and build relationships with your classmates, and experience the highlights of campus life.
If you are unable to attend in person, you must complete Summer 2021 New Student Orientation in Blackboard.
