JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — SUNY JCC Workforce Development is offering new professional and supervisory courses and programs on the Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses.
These professional development and supervisory opportunities are scheduled through April. They vary from one-day to multiple-day trainings.
Topics include: Coaching for Impact and Results; Employee Leaves of Absence; Effective Interviewing; Time Management; Unbox the Future: Master Change Leadership; Human Resources 101; Mastering the Art of Difficult Conversation; and AI Mastermind: Lead Your Organization's AI Future.
“We are aiming to equip professionals with tools for some of the most daunting tasks in the employment arena,” said Katrina Jones, a Human Resources professional and instructor at JCC. “For those that are looking for a more comprehensive dive into people management, we are offering our Human Resources 101 course for anyone wanting to enter the field or strengthen their knowledge base.”
These offerings cover struggles and challenges that individuals deal with through day-to-day workplace situations. Those who enroll will learn to apply the content to real-life experiences through interactive activities and open discussions.
“Past attendees have told me the workshops are thought-provoking, interactive, and immediately useful,” says Ginine M. Capozzi, a talent development consultant and owner of KnowledgeForce Consulting. “From start to finish, they experience a reimagined, solutions-focused training that creates real shifts and unlocks the power of people.”
Thanks to grant funding, some of these programs are offered at a discounted rate for a limited time.
