Success Navigator

Hi! I’m Avery Georgakis, your success navigator at Jamestown Community College. My job is to make sure your transition into college life is as seamless and smooth as possible. From guiding you through the onboarding process to being a continuing resource during your time here, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

I graduated with a bachelor of arts in Psychology from SUNY Geneseo in May of 2020, and I know firsthand what it’s like to adapt to new and unexpected challenges. I finished my last semester from home, graduating in my parent’s living room, so I truly understand how difficult it can be to adjust to a new educational setting! I’m also currently pursuing a master’s in Social Work (MSW) online through SUNY University at Buffalo, with an expected graduation date of 2026.

When I’m not working with our students, I love reading, cooking, gardening, crafting, and giving back to the community by mentoring through the Chautauqua Striders program. I’m always eager to connect with you all, so please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m here to help you succeed and make the most of your time at JCC!
