Occupational Therapy (Master of Occupational Therapy) (Gannon University)

Guarantees acceptance, with junior standing, into Gannon’s Master of Science degree program in Occupational Therapy to JCC students who graduate with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) with a minimum cumulative JCC grade point average of 3.0, take several additional specified courses, earn minimum grades of C in specified courses, and meet Gannon’s standards regarding known behavioral problems.  Students who take specified JCC courses can complete a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences in four semesters and the master’s degree in Occupational Therapy in an additional two semesters, for a total of six semesters at Gannon.  The guarantee of acceptance is for at least three qualified JCC students per year.   These students will begin coursework at Gannon in the fall semester following their graduation from JCC.  JCC will select these three students following the completion of their first year of OTA coursework.  All other qualified JCC students who are not among the three selected by JCC can formally apply to Gannon, and will be considered for admittance within the usual pool of applicants.  Students in this category who apply to and are selected by Gannon, either for the year immediately following graduation from JCC or for any other start year at Gannon, will be afforded the same opportunities to transfer JCC coursework toward meeting Gannon degree requirements as the three students admitted under the conditions of this agreement.  Gannon will accept up to 52-53 credits in transfer from JCC toward fulfillment of its degree requirements.
