Learn more about career mentoring

You will be matched with a mentor for one semester. Our mentors have great experience in your interested career field. Some of our mentors include a marine biologist, FBI forensics investigator, vacation property real estate agent, toy designer, and nurse practitioner. We'll match you with a professional in your field.

You'll commit to a minimum of one conversation a month. You can connect in person, email, FaceTime/Skype, or phone. You will build a professional network, connect your academics to your career goals, receive career guidance, and gain exposure to career options, advice, and job search topics.

“In the beginning of my first semester, I did the career mentoring program where I was matched up with a mentor in the art education field, and it’s been a wonderful experience. She’s been very helpful and inspiring. She and I emailed each other at first, and then we went for a cup of tea. She told me all about her experience of being an art teacher. I was so fascinated that my nervousness wore off.

We’ve continued to message each other throughout the semester. I’m impressed with the amount of knowledge and advice she’s shared with me. She and I have connected very well.”
