Join the JCC Earth Awareness Club for Earthfest 2022! Held along the central campus walkways near the pond (weather permitting) and in the COCE Student Union area, Earthfest has quickly become a popular event for students and local vendors alike.
This year’s celebration will feature educational/informational displays and exhibits from a host of local environmental organizations, student groups, eco-friendly businesses, and public agencies. Between 11:00 AM and 12:00, Earthfest will kick off with this year’s featured musician, Jamie Haight on acoustic guitar, who will play again between 1:00 and 2:00 pm.
The featured show from NOON to 1:00 will be Jeff Musial of Nickel City Reptiles and Exotics! Jeff and his animal ambassadors have achieved national acclaim through their appearances on NBC, CBS, and "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon.
Other activities planned by the students of the Earth Awareness Club include a tree seedling "adoption" effort (made possible by the Chautauqua County Soil and Water Conservation District), and a Chinese auction. Eco-friendly products will be available for purchase.
The club will donate all proceeds from Earthfest to two environmental organizations this year - the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy (CWC) and The Bee Project! Come out and celebrate our amazing planet!
