Prepare for your international internship

Completing an internship in another country is an exciting experience. To prepare for your trip abroad, you will work with both the Applied Learning office and Global Learning office.

  1. Fill out the internship interest form. This lets us know that you are interested in an international internship. It’s also a great way for you to share a little more about yourself. We will reach out to you to talk about different opportunities.
  2. Complete the application and letters of recommendation specific to where you want to complete your internship. You can return the application to Annie Chartrand in ARSC 107 on the Jamestown Campus, or Gregg Karl in 214 LLAC on the Cattaraugus County Campus.
  3. The Applied Learning office will follow up with you to schedule both an initial interview with the faculty mentor overseeing the internship and an interview with the site supervisor as needed. Be sure to check your JCC email regularly to see when the interview will be.
  4. Since this internship will take you abroad, you will work with the Global Learning office after Step 3 to finish preparing for your trip.
